Film Leader Research

I want to use a film leader in my music video whilst there is just instrumental music on and the lyrics haven’t started. Film leaders were popular in the 1950’s to mid-60’s and this fits in with the iconography of my music video. The era I am setting my music video in is going to be in the 1950’s therefore my image of my artist and all the elements in mise-en-scene from costume to props will connote the 1950’s time scale. This also works well as it was used before a film starts and in my music video I am focusing on the narrative so it will interprets a movie from this time. In editing a special effect that I am wanting to use is the black and white effect which again will visual will look like a 50’s film.
