Final Digipak : After Audience Feedback

Improvements:

• I added a background behind the CD which I chose the roses from the front cover.
• Changed the inspirational music quote to the green off the leaves which is the same colour as the rectangles on the front cover creating continuity with the colour scheme.
• On the CD I changed the blue small circle to just a circle outline with the colour being cream which I got this from the sunglasses creating continuity with the colour scheme.

Here are two feedback sheets, one was filled in by my teacher Rebecca Ives and she highlighted that the first question didn't make sense also made me realise that this question needed changing as a lot of people will not know what the sub-genre 'shoe-gazing ' is so therefore I am going to change the question to:
1.  Do you think the Digipak reflects the song 'Summertime Sadness'?

4th Draft: Digipak

Improvements:

• I changed the colour of the rectangles on the front cover more a green colour like the leaves on the roses.

3rd Draft : Digipak

Improvements:

• Change colour of spine black to blue.
• Text on the spine.
• I felt that the front cover was stretched therefore I narrowed it and added rectangles at the sides which has now created full continuity throughout with all images except the back having rectangle shapes.
•  From recent research and my own knowledge ,some artist's put personal notes and messages in the digipak to family, friends, co-workers and fans therefore to make my digipak unique I had an idea that to put an inspirational music quote which gives my artist more of an outspoken voice on music and is a quote for the fans to be inspired. I have put this quote on the CD as I felt it looked too plain compared to the rest of the CD.  I searched on www.google.com these quotes and I thought that this was a suitable one for my artist  and the image that I am portraying

"Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything"

FILMING DAY 4- 8/01/14

The fourth filming day is my last filming day I filmed at lunch time for a few minutes and at night time for a few minutes, I had to film at these specific time of the day as I needed to film the sun, sky and moon, and I was very successful with the outcome. Also I needed to film a static television which was straight forward and took a few minutes also on this filming day the shots what took the most time was filming the months, January to December.

FILMING DAY 3- 7/01/14

The third day of filming was at college during a lunch time 12:40-1:40pm at college as I wanted to use the green room, however, I wasn't using the green screen I wanted to use the plain white wall as the background. Also in the green room has lighting equipment which I desired to use. This shooting was mainly for the chorus as that's the shots that I need. We didn't have the same preparation as 1st and 2nd filming day as the chorus is where I am bringing the full performance element and is not following the narrative therefore that's why I chose a different location and the 50's style wasn't used.

to film her in just her bra.
Shannon had her hair cut into a bob this happened just at the right time
as her short hair defines the boundary between the performance and
narrative. Narrative (character) = long  Performance (Artist) = Short

Same routine I went through with my cast member the lyrics basically highlighting the lyric synchronisation, so my cast member looked like a confident artist in the music video. Also I went through the shots of what I wanted her to perform. Then going through what I wanted her to do on the specific shot again against the white wall.

Also on this day after college at the location of my home I filmed the static television, calendar , sky and moon shots therefore I did not need my actress through this process.
Taken Shots: 1,13,23,32,40,48,56 - I added all months to show her husband had been working away for the year therefore more calendar shots were taken.
